Design is an essential skill for the practice of Architecture requiring a synthesis of ideas responding to the needs of the client and the community and with an inherent concern for the quality of human living and working environments.
In addition to Architectural Design, key areas of the B. Arch Program are Environmental Design, Urban Design, Computer Aided Design, History and Theory, Landscape Architecture, structures, Building Technology/Construction, Building Services, Building Conservation, Project Management and Architectural Journalism.
The inception of the Department of Architecture, Birla Institute of Technology, Off shore Campus, Ras Al Khaimah, was in the year 2005. It is the first ever Indian college with the approval of Council of Architecture, India, to be initiated outside India.
