An Overview: This is a four year full time degree program classified into eight semesters. The Electrical and Electronics department has been a center for research in the areas of digital signal processing, plasma engineering, microprocessor applications, fractional horsepower electric machines etc. from time to time. In recent past new courses in the areas of Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic Control, Genetic Algorithms, Information Technology, Advanced Microprocessor interfacing have been introduced at post graduate level and is currently being percolated at undergraduate level. It has excellent lab facilities in area of Analog and Digital Communication, Digital Electronics and Integrated Circuits, Circuit Simulation, Microprocessor, Fiber Optics Communication and Instrumentation.

Eligibility Criteria:
The maximum age limit for admission to undergraduate programmes is 21 years as on 1st October 2011. Candidates must have passed in all subjects in which they have appeared in Class 10 (excluding optional subjects) with minimum 60% marks in average. Marks in Class 10 to be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects).
Candidates must have studied and passed Class XII. Candidate must have passed in all subjects in which they have appeared in Class 12 (excluding optional subjects) with certain minimum marks in average for each programme as given below. Marks in Class 12 to be computed as average of best 4 subjects including English and other required subjects /combinations of subjects for a given programme. Candidates must have passed in English, Physics, Mathematics and one other subject in Class 12 / I. Sc. or equivalent examination, with minimum 60% marks. Marks in Class 12 to be computed as average of best 4 subjects including English, Physics, Mathematics and one other subject.
