The department of Engineering offers a wide range of undergraduate level programs in a variety of specializations.  All academic programs are conducted in compliance with the standards prescribed, supervised and controlled by the Birla Institute of Technology (Ranchi).  The University adopts a semester wise academic system and examinations are conducted after the completion of each semester.  Internal assessment with an individual grading system is conducted on a regular basis throughout the duration of the program to ensure optimum adherence to the academic instruction standards laid down by the University.  Majority of the programs offered are full time courses, consisting of a combination of class room lectures, practical training in labs and workshops designated for each department and industrial visits. Degrees are awarded by the University to the students who successfully complete their program after passing all the semester examinations in their respective area of specializations.
