Program Overview

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is a field that involves complex electronic apparatus, circuits and equipment’s that help in executing speedy and efficient telecommunication systems. These engineers design, fabricate, maintain, supervise and manufacture electronic equipments used in entertainment industry, computer industry, communication and defense. Ever increasing pace of development in electronics, audio and video communications systems and the automation in industry have made an electronic engineer a catalyst for the change of the modern society.. With the tempo of events throughout the world, it has become essential to have more efficient communication network with the latest electronic devices and circuits. Besides giving a thorough grounding in basic sciences and engineering subjects, the curriculum in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering lays greater emphasis on deep understanding of fundamental principles and state of the art knowledge about electronic devices and circuits, computer architecture and microprocessors, VLSI and embedded systems, electromagnetic field theory, analog and digital communication, digital signal processing, microwave and broadband communications.

Duration & Eligibility Duration: 4 Years (Eight Semesters)

  • Candidate with 50% marks in aggregate with Physics + Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of examination at the 10+2 level.
  • 10+3 Diploma (Electronics & Communication) recognized by Central/ State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Physics + Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.

  • Electronics engineers work in industries such as communications, aviation, defense, robotics, computers, biomedical engineering and meteorology. Employment opportunities exist with federal, state and territory government departments and authorities.

  • Electronics engineer having the quest for more skills and technical knowledge specific to the specialization can enroll and pursue a postgraduate degree such as a Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Science, Master of Engineering Management (M.Eng.Mgt. or M.E.M.) in India or Abroad.
  • A graduate will have the ability to identify and come up with an optimum solution to meet desired outcomes in Electronics and Telecommunication field.
  • A graduate can use Electronics and Telecommunication related software tools and equipment to analyze the problem formulate and interpret the data relevant to the problem.
  • A graduate will have ability to design a system or process to meet desired needs in Communication Engineering within realistic constraints such as design and modeling, economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety.
  • A graduate will be proficient in multidisciplinary teams.
  • A graduate can confidently appear for competitive exams like GATE, GRE, GMAT CAT, CET and UPSC and pursue further studies and career.

Events Guest Lectures & Workshop Organized

  • A value-added program on Robotics was organized by Ms Rajiv (IIT Alumni) for all engineering students during the last week of May 2014. Students integrated a robot car with obstacle detection, light, sound, and wireless sensors.
  • ECE Department has organized a guest lecture which is delivered by Mr. Jitendra Yadav, BHIS Engineer, Siemens Dematic Middle East LLC on ‘Introduction to Automation System/PLC and programming of PLC" in May 2014.
  • Mr. Johannes Jacobus Engelbrecht, Manager Electrical and Instruments, Exterran Eastern Hemisphere FZE , has given beneficial lecture on "Technology Development in EEE & ECE" on 12th December 2013
  • EEE and ECE Department has organized various Industrial visits to many renowned companies like i.e. Eternity Technology, Falcon Technologies, Solon Industry, and SAS POWER for student’s technical exposure.
